What is Permanent MakeUp?

It is a cosmetic tattooing technique that permanently adds pigments to the skin. It is typically done to parts of the face to enhance the colors of eyebrows, lips and eyes. When done properly, it creates a very natural look and reduces the need for makeup.

What is Microblading?

It is a form of semi-permanent makeup done to the eyebrows, also known as 3D brows. Using a manual blade made up of 14 to 18 micro needles, pigments are etched into the top layer of the skin. Pigments are available in different shades to match each client.

Who should get Microblading?

Anyone over the age of 18 who wants to enhance the shape of their eyebrows. Those who have over tweezed or thinning brows and need the added confidence that comes with fuller natural looking brows are perfect candidates. Also those who have lost their brows due to alopecia, cancer or any other reason can consider microblading.

How long does Microblading last?

Unfortunately pigments fade as microblading only etches the top layer of the skin. With proper care and a touch-up session 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure, it can last anywhere between 1-3 years. This depends on how oily each individual client’s skin is, health and maintenance. Touch up sessions every 12-18 months are suggested to keep the eyebrows constantly looking full.

Does Microblading hurts?

There may be mild discomfort depending on the sensitivity of each client. Topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize any pain.

How long does Microblading procedure take?

It takes up to 3 hours. This includes the consultation, discussion of pertinent medical history, applying of the numbing cream and the microblading procedure itself.

Why it is called Permanent MakUp, isn't it just Semi-Permanent?

It’s called permanent makeup because it IS permanent! Though the pigment may fade over time, it is a tattoo and will remain under the skin for the most part. There are removal methods; however, the pigment is implanted under the dermal layer of the skin and is designed to stay there.

Do I need consultation before appointment for a procedure?

Only if you have had permanent makeup done previously somewhere else or if there is a skin condition you are concerned about.

How much down time will I need?

None! Most clients have their procedure done and then go back to work or go about their day. We just ask you to clean post-procedure every hour for 4 hours with aftercare pads (we will provide all the necessary aftercare.) Just be sure to keep the area dry and clean. That’s it!
